SO AWESOME. Pure Fruit is the first documentary of its kind following Mango and Kveta who live a fruitarian lifestyle. It’s beautifully made. Mango & Kveta’s blogs (mangodurian.blogspot.com/; http://fruitariankveta.blogspot.com/) are what inspired and pushed me the extra umph (aside from Durianrider, Robert Morse, 30bananasaday.com, etc.) to really want to live a fruitarian lifestyle.

I imagine how extreme that sounds to anyone who’s never heard of ‘fruitarianism,’ raw veganism, or just couldn’t imagine living this way themselves. The first time I heard of “raw food” (not including animal “foods”) was when my mom told me that a nurse who came at night for me was eating raw to lose weight. I thought of raw broccoli and carrots, and spent only seconds giving it any thought. It’s crazy (my lazy, go-to word to sum up everything) how much that information and knowledge has bloomed. Somewhere down the line, the term dropped it’s name again, and I stumbled across some information on it on youtube. All I can say is that it’s one of the best, if not the best, decisions I’ve ever made. A huge part of my “conversion” was the aspect of healing. Now, I love eating raw so much that the entire jump on healing has become a bonus. It’s a great way to demonstrate love for animals, the planet, others, and yourself, all the while cleansing your bod and even making a huge political statement. I could go on for a while, if I held that typing-capacity, but hopefully I’ll have an ebook out soon unfolding my entire perspective.

If you want more info, worthy places to start would be looking into durianrider, easytoberaw, & liferegenerator (especially!) on youtube (plethora of info there) and 30bananasaday.com for now. Allllllll life changing stuff so ENJOY.

And happy Valentines day <3

^ Wonderful statement! and oh my gosh, I have been waiting to see this for a while! Im so happy to be able to watch it!

Mango and Kveta are such beautiful, wonderful people who have such an amazing view and love of fruits, also they have years of experience and knowledge in Raw and fruitarianism behind them and I wish them nothing but the best.

This is an absolutely gorgeous documentary and anyone interested in Raw or fruitarianism should watch it.

I just finished this documentary, and I am truly inspired by their efforts. It is obvious that peace is radiating from them. This couple, Mango and Kveta, are truly living in harmony with the land and I would love to meet them. I think they have an interesting perspective on plants and their lives. In the back of my head, I have always known that fruit was alive. That being said, I have never considered their perspective. They do not consume nuts, seeds, grains, or certain fruits because they require the consumption of the seed. For them, eating the seed diminishes the potential for life and kills the plant. I have been learning a lot about ecology in my Biology 1104k class, and we have discussed the life cycles of plants (alternation of generations). I never considered the ovaries, ovules, embryos, zygotes, spores, etc of plants. Now that I have, I am realizing more and more that plants are alive. Of course people have to eat, but to live and eat in such conscious way is profoundly beautiful to me. It makes me so happy to live in a world in which they exist. I am starting to see the fruit way…
