It’s been a while since I’ve updated so I guess it’s about time I get to it. This is the first week of the semester and as desperate as I am for summer, I am going to enjoy and grow from every minute of it. Although my fall grades were good I know I can do better, so I am. I spent ridiculous hours tucked away in my dorm mourning over unchangeable circumstances and crying over faraway loved ones. It’s 2012, and I refuse to continue down that same path.
As most of you know, I have been working on a miniature project focused on yoga. It was supposed to be called “366 days of yoga”, but I’m making a few tweaks to that plan. Although I have been focusing more on my practice, I have neither been recording nor writing down my experiences. I started the new year in a different city and I wasn’t able to fully devote myself given my surroundings. Now that I am home, things are just about to get started. Yesterday I felt a bit discouraged about my business plan, but today I am way more optimistic. It’s all about remembering my new year intention —acceptance. I accept that I might not be in the best financial situation, but I am okay and things can and will get better.
I have been wanting a juicer for some time now, and I settled on a rather cheap one I found at target. It isn’t fancy shmancy, but it’s what I have and I am so grateful! I can do my own juice fast and potentially relive the high I felt on my last one. Basically, I’m stoked. I used to buy juice from whole foods all the time, but I don’t have to do that anymore. Can you say money saver? I’ve started growing my own alfalfa sprouts, and my next project will be kombucha tea. I want to be as self reliant as possible in this annoying consumer society. I had not been to Target in ages, and after last night I understand why. There is way too much stuff! I absolutely owe my current perspective on life to veganism. It’s the best lifestyle ever, period.
On another note, is anyone really good at knitting? I want to get better at it, but I’m super beginner. I would love to get some pointers (to dos and not to dos) from someone with more experience. Message me and maybe we can skype!
** I’d love to Skype with any of my followers. You all are amazing! S/N: megnotmayg
